Anchor and Gold Shimmer Table
Here is a classic table that was given a twist with two coats of Dixie Belle Paint in their new Silk Paint Line. The color is Anchor and it is a great black. Plus, the new Silk Line does not need a sealer so that is a plus!
I first applied an undercoat of Slick Stick. This is because the table’s original finish was super slick and had like an inch of shellac all over it! After it dried, I applied two coats of black (Anchor). The new Silk paint line is very smooth and super easy to apply. It adhered beautifully with the Slick Stick as its primer. The final touch was the Gold Shimmer Glaze. I just took a brush and added it here and there to highlight the table’s pretty detail.

In other news, I broke my foot last weekend (this is one week before our vacation at a lake where we are supposed to hike, bike, paddleboard and kayak). Yay.
And in better news, I have a TON of projects in the pipeline and am looking forward to getting started on those as soon as my foot heals!
