How to Thursday: Add Paint to Wax to Create a Beautiful Layered Finish
Happy Thursday! As promised in my last post, today I am sharing a quick tip tutorial on how to add color by mixing chalk paint into your wax. This creates such a beautiful layered finish to painted furniture. The bonus is that you are sealing your piece at the same time - win win!
I am using the same little table that I used in my video and post on how to layer paint onto transfers so they don’t end up looking like stickers :)
Today, over the previously painted French Linen top, I applied Dixie Belle clear wax mixed with Vintage Duck Egg chalk mineral paint. I also added their dark wax to mix it up a little. Here are a few pics to share. I really like how it now blends in with the base that was painted in the Vintage Duck Egg.
