Pergo Flooring!

A quick disclaimer… I am receiving absolutely nothing from Pergo or anyone for the content! I’m just so pleased with our newest home DIY update that I wanted to share.

Here is a quick update on our new floors! We (my husband!) installed Pergo Applewood flooring in our home. It currently is in our hallway, half bath and family room, with plans to extend it to our foyer and kitchen.

My husband installed the floor and it took two weekends (stop and start). We began from the top of the hallway and made our way down into the family room. Honestly, the hallway took the longest because of all the cuts needed for the doorways, etc.

This pic shows the floors halfway installed in the hallway but not yet in the family room. We had to take up all the old family room flooring (it’s now stored in our garage because I really want to try and sell it on Craigslist) before installing the Pergo.

The floors are water resistant and scratch resistant and the perfect choice for a busy family with pets. They are super easy to clean and we are very happy with our choice. You can see how the color is much calmer than the older, more orange floors.

These floors are quite thick. When we go into the kitchen and foyer, those rooms are slightly lower and so we will need to install transitions or figure something out.

We (that actually was “me”) decided to tackle this project over Christmas and we finished it the day before we had a huge party. It was good to have a motivating factor to get it done!

The dogs approve!
